I have often heard this is a way to find out what the future holds. I want to know how reliable is it and can I trust it's information?

No.
The most obvious fact about astrology is that it is thousands of years old and nothing new has been learned. Why would you want advice from people who have been unable to learn any new thing while the rest of the world went from stone knives to space travel?
Study economics. They predict the future and they do it pretty well. For example, they have been predicting economic collapse for over forty years and now we are right in the middle of it.
Yes. Astrology works. Astrology is more of a personal thing. It holds different meanings depending on star signs and stuff like that. Astrology is spiritual while economics is man-made political propaganda garbage. Trust in the spirits of earth, sky, space, and the inner realm of man's spiritualism. Trust in astrology. The economy of man will lead you astray but the call and teachings of spirits won't.
I confuse nothing and your tone is hypocritical.

Humans have had some successes, but many failures in their predictions.
Isaiah 46:10 God says: " From the beginning I foretell the outcome, and from long ago the things that have not yet been done."
God knows all the facts. He accurately guarantees a perfect record of success.
At times astrological predictions and fortune telling do come true. But is it really because of reading the stars? A few years back, the late psychologist Vernon Clark tested the abilities of some astrologers. He gave them ten case histories and asked the astrologers to match each with one of a pair of horoscopes. The astrologers were remarkably successful!. But what accounted for his success? Apparently more than reading the stars was involved. Interestingly, a number of astrologers have similarly admitted to using what amounts to occult power.
The Bible shows that people manifesting predictive powers are often under the control or influence of demonic spirit forces. (Compare Acts 16:16-18.) Astrological predictions may therefore at times be nothing less than the utterances of demons—avowed enemies of God and of the people who serve him! Only harm could come to anyone who seeks demonic guidance!
At Deuteronomy 18:10-12, God clearly states: “There should not be found in you . . . anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, . . . anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. For everybody doing these things is something detestable to God.”

Yeah, but you also have to admit that three Astrologers used their practice to find and pay homage to baby Jesus with gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
The three astrologers were Jews who knew about the prophecy of the Messiah but followed a star based on the astrological leading of the Babylonian culture.
The Hebrews (Jews) were forbidden by the Mosaic Laws to get involved in any form of this kind of worship or practice. Deuteronomy 17:2-7.
The Star, lead them to Herod who want to kill Jesus, not to Jesus directly.
You confuse economics with politics. They are very closely associated, but the one is not the other.
