Is a murder suspect aloud to be outside?

Question

I'm writing a book where someone is accused of murder and they gave to figure out who is the actual killer. Would my character be aloud to leave to find the actual murder or would they not be aloud out until there trial ?

Answer

I believe that a murder suspect is not aloud outside, only in the courtyard. It all depends on their criminal rank in the prison. If they are on Death row, they should not be aloud to go outside at all.

"Aloud"? No
"Allowed"? With certain restrictions. 

If you're writing a book, please get a dictionary. 

And know the difference between "they're" "there" and "their"
