Is a 650 ti boost and e5700 a bad setup? will it bottleneck?

The problem with the e7500 cpu is its limited 3M cache, if you are going to stick with the old 775 socket board & 2 Duo Core processors, the overclockers choice is the E8400 witb its 3Ghz stock & 6M cache. 3.6 Ghz is easy by setting the clock multiplyer to 9x & fsb to 400mhz. Can be done with stock air cooling too (fresh thermal paste & clean the dust off!)
With experience & watercooling 4ghz + is possible.
E8400 are cheap & plentiful now on ebay as people are migrating to intel i5 based rigs.
Hope this helps if it has not directly answered your question!

Opps! I'm doing this last thing & tired. You said e5700 which is close to the e8400. In performance. However the e8400 is by tests still 10 to 20% faster overal on benchmarks & the prefered choice! It apparently also accepts SSE 4.1 instructions which the e5700 pentium cannot (?)
Sorry for the confusion.
