I am only beginning high school and my math teacher has a much more difficult standard than the other two teachers in my school. We recently had midterms exams and I got a 75% and my math average became a 70%(as you can see I'm not that good), but I don't know if I should be satisfied with this type of mark(the class averge was 73% and this exam is worth 30% of the next report card.)

Everyone is different! I myself am not good at math AT ALL! I would be happy with a 75% on a midterm. All that really matters is that you tried your best! If you did everything you could to get the best grade possible (studied, got extra help, did extra credit, talked to your teacher, got a tutor) then don't stress about it!
It's okay. But you can get in the 80's if you understand how to do everything. Ask your teacher right away for help if you're not sure how to do something. It's better if you know how to solve the question than to move on an leave it behind. In high school, what your learning in grade 9 will show up in later grades and they're not going to reteach what you were supposed to learn in grade 9. If you don't feel comfortable asking the teacher how to do something, then just look it up online (I've had to do that before to help me decipher word problems and now I get 85's at a private school). Take this advice and make sure you actually understand how to do everything.
