Your as old as you feel! That happy no worry feeling will still be there if you allow it, you will assume more responsibly as you grow but thats a slow process over time. It's not sudden so don't panic. You are still young and you can still play and enjoy toys ect. I remember being thirteen and not enjoying it when I should have. Be in the present. There's many great things you'll be given more freedom, like maybe staying out later? See this as a chance to expand your life. You'll always be you, life will not stop being fun. Enjoy your birthday! Do something with friends and have fun. And for being the oldest in your grade? Who cares? Nobody will say anything! It's not important. Have a good day tomorrow !!
In about 10 yrs you will fully understand how silly your question is .
Yes, you are a kid and you will be one even if the law says 18 is an adult. Most adults over 30 think you are a kid until you reach 21. Then from there on you will always be a kid to someone. When you are 30 someone who is 45 will think of you as a kid. You're a 50 year old kid to a person who is 70. And you'll be a 70 year old kid to someone who is 90.
Stop thinking of what you are losing as a kid and start looking forward to the perks of reaching milestones.
You are a teenager! Lots of emotions and puberty and changes. Later bedtime should be a privilege.
You gain the option to apply for a learners permit for driving at 15 or 16 then the right to apply for an actual
drivers license. That gives you freedom. You can go see R rated movies without an adult. At 18 you register to vote and you have freedom and patriotic duty to vote in elections and help choose your president and serve on a jury. Depending on where you live 18 to 21 gives you the right to buy a drink or apply for a passport and see the
world. Along with responsibilities come some mighty fine rewards.
Happy birthday kid!
