Well my friend has an ipad 3 and wants me to get one and i do but i also want a ps vita,but i dont have enough money for both wich one should i get

i would go with the PS vita. it can do everything your PS3 can do except make a phone call. it was built for gaming. the ipad 3 is more for social networking, cell phone games, apps and stuff like that. if you're looking for a gaming device the vita is what you want.
