So I've been thinking about how to design an inverter. I have a question a bout the powerloss that would be present in a design for a 12vdc to 240vac. I can invoke the necessary timining required with a 555 timer MOSFETs and an h bridge connected to a transformer, but I struggle to understand the power losses that would be lost due to induction through the transformer and how I would compensate for them. If anyone could help it would be appreciated. I'm looking for an intuitive answer and a poke in the right direction with the maths and physics. Forgive me if this is a dumb question. Kind regards
