International students Health insurance plan?

Hi, I am an international student currently in OPT status. I was required to purchase the health insurance plan provided by my college. But now I have graduated and got a job. 
Due to some reason my company can not buy me a Health Insurance plan for 3 months, I want to know that for international students like me, must we have health insurance plan all the time? Even I do not want it?
If I have to ,  what might happen to me if I do not have one? will I be kicked out of U.S.? or fired by my company?

Three months is not bad to wait until you can have your insurance company.

Some company want it to be mandatory, but you will not be fired if you don't have one. But as an international students you are required to have one, it's for your own benefits and protection.
