Instead of having been ill mona stood first in examination. it correct sentence?

It is not clear what you mean- if you meant that Mona was ill, and came first in the examination, then you might want to rephrase it to:

'Although Mona was ill, she came first in her examination.'

'exam' will do instead of 'examination' as well.
Hope that helps!
