In which ways did the zealots support Jesus and his teachings?

Simon, one of jesus's disciples was a zealot. They were the jews that fought against Rome. One of the reasons was because of Antchous Epiphanes who made them worship, and eat unclean animal sacrifices to foreign idols. He decreed that circumcision was illegal and all jewish culture celebrations too. In a total they fought for God.
