In regions where the bedrock is limestone. If there's water in that region, parts of the limestone will be dissolved because it reacts with carbon dioxide and water.
Basically you're looking for a region where there is massive a limestone and enough water. Generally, the water comes as direct rainwater.
For example, you find that in South-Eastern Europe.
