My brother inlaw headbutted me and while I was defending myself from his attack I bit him. He is now threatening to press charges against me for assault with a deadly weapon. My wife witnessed the attack and says he hit me first.

Okay first of all your teeth are not a deadly weapon. And second of even if he did take the case to court you would have a witness in your favor. The defense would have solid evidence that 1. You did not do any lasting harm to him. 2. That he attacked you first due to the examination and testimony of your wife/the witness. 3. Thats his terms of suing are highly ridiculous that I doubt any jurors or judges would find it anything but an amusing joke. So if he does go to court get a good lawyer that graduated more than 2 years ago and that can easily outsmart the prosecutor he would hire. Hope I helped.
I really cant afford a lawyer. According to my wife, i bit a chunk out of him and he was bleeding. I looked up Texas law and biting is listed as a deadly attack due to the risk of infection. I know for a fact I do not have any infectious diseases.
