In NC can your employer deduct wages because he forgot to decuct insurance for a year.Full time?

Sounds like he really forgot i don't understand how he wouldn't know that something like that is the most important he probably can do what he wants to do he should have gave notice that its gonna happen and why but thats not your fault he should have a meeting or a one on one explaining why he did this.
