Images or gameplay?

I want to tell a story on youtube but I don't want to show my face. I'll be attracting a teen audience most likely so would it be ok if I used images to throughout the video to better explain things and show emotion or should I use gameplay?

I'd say add a gameplay video whilst talking, then whenever you want to explain someone or something just add a photo on top of the gameplay and say etc. "This is what he looked like" ... hope you understood my point and hope this helps! Good luck on YouTube :)
