I fully paid for a trip with the understanding my 'friend' would repay me later. There is nothing in writing. 3 months has passed, & she has not mentioned even when she may start to repay. I haven't heard from her in a few weeks. I have discovered that she has purchased airline tickets to Britain, yet she hasn't sent me a penny.
The Airline says I can remove her name from the travel documents because the total cost was paid by ME & only me.
It seems I have trusted the wrong person, & certainly do not want to travel with her.
What do you think? I'm sure I have the right to remove her name & go with someone else?
I'm sure I have the right?

Well in that case, you are right and doing the right thing. Enjoy your holiday with your best friend. :-)
This "friend" has not contacted me in a few weeks. She said she'd let me know when we could do lunch, but she went off to her cousin's & still hasn't contacted me. Since I said I'd pay up front, & she could repay me, she hasn't mentioned any repayment date at all, in fact the topic has never arisen. I don't believe I should have to chase her for the money she owes me,& I won't chase her, especially after her buying airline tickets to go to Britain. I also discovered from her b/f that she now has to pay over $2400. to have
her car repaired. The chances of me getting any money soon is very remote, & I'm not prepared to wait any longer. Although we never discussed a repayment timeline, she's very well aware that she owes me money. The onus is on HER, not me. I therefore have asked my best friend to join me on the holiday, & I have been advised by the airline that because the trip was paid soley by me, on MY credit card...I can most certainly have the person's name removed from all the documents, & a new name put on..all fees waived. Had the payment for the trip been split (1/2 on my card, 1/2 on my 'friend's", that would be a different story, but it isn't.
