A boy is standing on a ledge that is 8 meters above the ground, holding a ball. He then decides to throw the ball downwards with an initial speed of 5 meters per second. The ball eventually reaches the ground. What is the instantaneous speed of the ball when it reaches the ground?
I'm not sure what the answer to this question is. I think it is 13.6 m/s. Please help :)?
