I've experienced anxiety for a number of years and I'm finally seeking help for it. I have an appointment in one month. I know that the psychologist is only there to listen and help me not judge me but I'm nervous. I've never been good at talking about things that are bothering me. The bigger issue for me though is that I'm so scared that I'm going to leave the appointment with a diagnosis. I don't want a diagnosis and I don't want a label. Can I tell this to the psychologist?
I'm nervous about seeing a psychologist for anxiety?

Yea you can tell them you don't want to have a diagnoses or a label they might agree why would they make a appointment anyway its possible. They want you to beable to get some help they can't do it less you agree to see the psychologist to see what they recommend for you as a treatment plan.
