so I believe in god and believe that there is also an evil entity/devil but I don't follow any religion I take bits and pieces from most religions and sorta tie them together but by no means am I attempting to make a religion either.. I feel like every religion has a lot of similar details and some things different from others long story short I keep an open mind to everything I even believe in a ying and yang sortve energy in the world and apply it to everything anyways my question is what is this called is there a word for it? And is there a community centered towards these kinds of beliefs if so please let me know I've looked this up but all the answers I got were not really what I was looking for thank you for your time in advance

Well it's nice to know you believe in God and that you are aware that there are evil forces around us. What's interesting is that even though you yourself may not have realized but you are searching for the truth about God and that's awesome. Let's look at a couple scriptures from the Bible that identifies who is speaking the truth from God's word the Bible today :
1) John 17:3, " This means everlasting life, their coming to know you,the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ."
The above shows the religion that teaches the truth about God and his son, this truth includes the Farher and the Son are two different persons.
2) Psalm 83:18 tells us, "May people know that you, whose name is
Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth."
The above shows that God wants people to know that his name is Jehovah.He wants people to identify him by his name, Jehovah when they approaching him. Let's illustrate, you have a name, I have a name even animals have a name, won't it be logical that the one who created everyone and everything have a name also?
3) Matthew 24:14, "And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."
According to the above scripture, look at those who are preaching to all sorts of people all over the earth. The ones who are going door to door and taking the Bible message to people where ever they find them. It's what makes them different that other churches do. They go to the people and don't wait on people to come to them.
If you look into the facts I give you above. I guarantee you, you will find the truth about God.

Let's be sensible: everybody talks about religion, but nobody knows what it is. So you can reject everything you have heard from other people and search for something else.
God is not stupid. He knows that He has to get His word to you in some form that the forces of evil can't corrupt, and then He has to protect the integrity of that word. That means a book. That narrows us to just two sources, the Christian book and the Buddhist book. (Never mind that "Judeo-Christian" crap. Only the Christian books count. Jews have to get their books from Christian publishers!) As for the Buddhist book, I don't know where to get one. The bible is available in any motel room in the country. That sure sounds like God at work!
It is not reliable to let people tell you what the bible says. Many people will make up stuff because they don't know what it says, and many will make up stuff because they wish it would not say what it says. You just have to read it for yourself. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians. Well reading your question, it appears to me that you have a spiritual need and searching for something to fill it.
There are many religions out there, some are conventional and there are others that can be controversial and therefore unsafe.
However, there is one way in which you can find out the true religion. This is a book that was given to mankind by the Almighty God. Like the manual for an appliance, this is a guide book to life.
Most people have one, and whatever language you speak, there is one available for you.You can either read a hard copy or read online.
A good website to find information on most religions is www.jw.org.
IF a person is in a mountainous region that he has never been before will he know his way around? NO. So what does he need? He would need a map and a compass. Let us say that the compass is broken and the map was ruined except a couple pieces. He would be lost.
So in your case you need a map. Notice the map Jesus is giving us. Jesus said he would not approve of “workers of lawlessness” even though they believed they were doing what was right. (Matthew 7:22, 23) Now in order to do that we need to find out what GOD wants? It is important to know the truths of the Bible. Yet this knowledge is worthless if you do not worship God in truth. (John 4:24) Practicing the truth, doing God’s will, is what counts. “Faith without works is dead,” the Bible says. (James 2:26) To please God, then, your religion must not only be in full agreement with the Bible but also be applied in every activity of life. Therefore, if you learn that you are doing what God says is wrong, will you be willing to change?
IF you want to make a change it will not be over night. There are great blessings in store for you if you do God’s will. Even now you will benefit. Practicing true religion will make you a better person—a better man, husband or father, a better woman, wife or mother, a better child. It will produce in you godly qualities that will cause you to stand out among others because you do what is right. But even more, it will mean that you will be in position to receive the blessings of everlasting life in happiness and perfect health on God’s paradise new earth. (2 Peter 3:13) There is no question about it—your religion really does matter.
My suggestion to you is? Go to jw.org and scroll down to the bottom where it says request for a Bible study. Fill out the information and someone in your area will stop by to talk to you more about the Bible.
Make sure you know that Jehovah created all things. IF we look to him can we really be lost? Because he created people and anials and things he can tell us what and where to go so we can never be lost. He has the right to let us know the way he wants to be worshiped James 1:27 this is the way that he approves of.
Religion should not be treated like a buffet, where you can pick and choose from various religions to find out what suits you. This is what the majority of the religions in the world have done. It’s defined as a sect. You have a group within a religious community who break away taking some of their former beliefs to form another religion. This is why there are so many similarities among religions today. It also explains why people are so confused when it comes to religion.
The biggest mistake that people make is thinking that they can set the standards as to how God should be worshipped. But isn’t God the Creator? So shouldn’t he be the one to decide how he wants to be worshipped.
Notice Jesus words to the religious leaders during his day who believed their way of worship was right.
Matthew 7:21-23-“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’
So if you are searching for the true religion study the Bible and make sure that what you are being taught is in harmony with Gods word. The Bible is the only book that will teach you how to worship God acceptably.
