I'm a year away from receiving my BS in neuroscience and I would like to have a job in research, probably in microbiology. I'm still not sure if I should go for a PhD or masters. I've asked many people and would appreciate any advice you may have. As far as my preferred career, I don't need to "run the show" but I would like a stable income, and I am worried getting a masters won't prepare me for research , but I also don't want to spend the time getting a PhD. I'm not particularly driven to spend so much time in school, and I don't really like academia, but I feel like it's the smart move. Also, for reference my GPA is kinda low, 3.3, but I scored in the 160s on the gre and have been working in labs the last two years if that helps.
Thank you
I'm looking for more advice about grad school for microbiology?
