I'm pretty sure it was from early 2000's (like 2004-2006). It was about a daughter sending her absentee father letters about her life. I believe the verses are along the lines of:
1) the father leaves
2) first day at school / first boyfriend
3) graduating
I know the final verse is along the lines of 'I'm getting married and I want you to attend but mum will walk me down the aisle because she was always there for me'
