well it happens to everyone i guess for him not stopping you could get him a different bit and this will reduce the horse tossing its head you could try a martinggale aswell dont give him up a horse can always be seen through even though they weigh lots and can kill you they lie in your hearts forever and you could try a different saddle or it could be irritating something i hope this helps if not then ok try some websites the most common bit is the snaffle but you can use a harder bit so your horse will stop quiker
Well, first of all, you should work with him on the ground to improvise his manners. Ride him only at a walk for a while. If he's being good, trot him. Don't go anywhere past the trot for a while. If he puts his head down, pull it up with only one reign. Pull him in a circle if he bolts. Hold his head up with one reign. Be gentle on his mouth, however. If he continues, try a harsher bit, like a Kimberwick curb bit with a curb chain. I have the exact same problem with my mare, and so far, this method worked for me, and I ride her in a rubber mouthed eggbutt snaffle bit. Hope I helped! Good luck!!!

Well, if he's acting like that it could be a number of things.
- It could be the bit; I would recommend trying a new one. And before you say "He's been using this one forever!" It doesn't always bother them until a new part of time.
- Maybe get his teeth and mouth checked as well.
- Make sure that his hooves are good and he is in good condition. If horses are in pain... well, lets just say it sucks.
- Try new tack, as well. It's not always the bit that causes problems.
- If none of that works, try conditioning; which is basically training for horses that have already been trained. It's like going up a level in a game.
- Warming up and cooling down after specific events.
