How did I deal with anger? I used to drink a little water and keep it in my mouth till my anger subsided, till I cooled down. That was the way I did not spit out my anger on somebody else. But as I grew up in life, I realized who I was getting angry at. The one I was getting angry at was none other than this Divine Soul that was also in me. When I realized that others are not others, they are a part of me, I stopped becoming angry. In fact, I have given up anger by realizing that just like the right eye doesn't get angry with the left eye, the right-hand doesn't punch the left hand, so also I don't need to get angry at somebody else because the other person is none other than me appearing as a different person. This is the ultimate way to overcome anger. Also we must realize that if we don't burn anger, anger will burn us. This is a simple Truth that we must learn.
