I'm 36, she's 43 - could I start a family with her?

I have met a woman whom I really like and we started a relationship.
Neither of us have been married before, nor had any children (given that we both spent our younger age pursuing our careers, and have only had a handful of relationships).

Now, both of us have had plans to settle in a marriage some day and have kids, and given that we really hit it off and that we care for each other quite a lot, we both think that this might be it.

But the thing is - I have my doubts. I'm a bit intimidated by the fact that she's in her early 40s - do you think we could have kids and raise a family, given our (especially her) age and everything that goes with it?

It's going to be very hard to have kids. She is in her forties. Not only is her body going to be more likely to reject a fertilized egg her body is about to begin menopause. I think you should really consider your situation. You may still be able to consider kids and a family someday, but she isn't. That someday is tomorrow for her. If you can picture her being the mother of your kids and her being the one walking down the aisle in the white dress, you both may be ready.
