I'm 30, married with a lovely man, I left home 5 years ago and moved abroad. And still I can't be honest with my parents.
Next week I'm going on holiday to Egypt with my husband, and I can't tell them because they would get nuts! They'd ruin my holiday by keeping saying I shouldn't go there, its dangerous, no proper girl would do that. They did it in the past so they would do it again. I feel so bad about lying to them but at the same time I want to enjoy without stress. And I don't want them to worry for no reason! What would you do? Is it bad lying to them at my age?

i really don't think your lieing unless you told them something to constitute this thing i can't see any thing that said you lied what did you say to think you lied that you weren't going on holiday do they have email you could go on holiday and just email them or something be trueful about what ever it is that you think is being lied about your parents will get over it just don't talk about that situation just go have a good time or treat it as not telling them you could just ay your going on holiday and just don't say where its that easy you don't have to feel your lieing about it that way just don't say where your going
Yeah, I know the feeling. But hon' they just worry about you and that is why they want to take care of you because even though you're thirty and all, you'll still be their little girl. Don't take it to the heart. And if you feel really bad, talk to them about how you feel.One thing life had taught me is that your lies always catch up to you. So its better to let it out. Tell your parents how you feel when they do that. Don't keep it to yourself. And once your parents know, you can just tell them stuff. Ask them to be a little more supportive and that you are a big girl. And you can take care of yourself.
In this way, you won't have to lie anymore to them.
