I'm really skinny and i want to start gaining muscle mass so i want to know should i start lifting weights or should i just do push ups,pull ups etc?

I found pull ups, push ups, and curl ups to be very effective, but if you want to lift weights, that can help too. You just don't need them. If you do lift weights, do squats, and the bench press, and get a set of dumb bells, and look online for work outs with those. You just have to keep at it, make a routine and stick to it. Don't work too little, it has to be hard, but don't overwork yourself either, give yourself a day of rest.
