If someone’s story after 1 day gets posted in highlights and I see it, does IG notify them?

If their story isn&rsquo;t on their profile pic anymore and it&rsquo;s still less than 48 hours and i see it in their highlights are they notified?

NO, someone cannot see that you viewed their Instagram highlight if it&rsquo;s been up for more than 1 day / 24 hours. However, they will be able to see that you viewed their highlight if they posted it on their story before 1 day / 24 hours.
