If you were partners in the past or recently it is possible. the best thing to do is get tested, just to make sure you have one or not. If you don't have one then chances are you were not the one who gave that person an STD. But sex is not the only way you can get an STD there are many different ways you can get one. For example you can get herpes just by using a public toilet, At least that is what I've heard.
