If my common-law spouse buys a house in cash and we ever split up, am I entitled to anything?

I don't plan on splitting up, but I just want to be sure that if it's his cash and something does happen, I'm not stuck in a town I never wanted to move to without a penny to my name.  
I will be paying land taxes, insurance, renos and bills, just not the money to buy the house itself.

Well you could write up a contract that states that you get a certain amount if you split up alot of the time you want to make sure you have it in writing. This way no body can take advantage of you and you get a fair share of the proceeds.
