I am recently doing a science assignment as a year 9 junior student and i have faced a question which i have no information about it.
i would really be pleased if you could give me a clear answer to If mud crabs could not live in mangroves because this habitat is destroyed to make a marina; could it survive in another habitat? Explain why or why not.

First you go to wikipedia.com and search for "mud crab" to see what general information they have. That takes you to a list of several species, so you check all to see if they mention mangroves. There are hundreds of species with the same name. Only a few live in mangroves, and not all the time.
You can do the same process for "mangrove" to see what else you can learn.
