No but the chocolate will probably not taste as good! Make sure you are eating real chocolate made with cocoa and use in appropriate moderation. If your blood sugars are too elevated this will definitely have poor effects on the fetus.
There was an interesting study that showed women who eat some real chocolate everyday after baby is born tend to have a lower incidence of post partum depression! But always use in moderation- the effect does not increase by eating more chocolate.
Manufactured foods are required to have an expiration date, but it is not required to mean anything. Here is a meme picture of "280 million year old salt" and it expires in two years: images-cdn.9gag.com/photo/a75XEqw_700b.jpg
The fact is food stays good until it turns grey and fuzzy. Canned food stays good forever unless the can swells. Packaged breads, such as crackers, stay good until air leaks into the package, and you will notice the stink when you open it. That is the smell of rancid shortening.
Stop living in fear. The world is not trying to kill you, and your body is a lot tougher than you have been told.
