If I'm arrested on an out of state traffic warrant will it go away if I don't get picked up in time?

I was told that some states only allow 3 days to pick up prisoners on out of state traffic warrants, I was just wondering if that's true

No that's not true. My sister got a smoking ticket when she was 17 in a city. Then went back to the same city when she was 23 and actually was arrested for a failure to appear on the ticket. My father also had a 4 year old dui catch up to him. Hope this helps
