If I win the lottery and gave every adult in United States a million dollars, what would happen to the U.S. economy?

(I'm from England and if this is a maths question then don't trust what I'm about to say because I'm making it up, it's not from a cited source lmao)
So, in my opinion, would it not just remain the same? because if everyone had another $1 million, then the economy would gain how ever many the population is, and the ratio between how much people have and how much the economy has would stay the same.
as I said, being from England I have no idea how the American economy works, so this is my educated guessing (I'm doing politics at A level) and I hope I helped in at least some way(?)
