If I want to buy a games console with money ive earnt through a job can my mum or dad stop me?

Since it's money that you've earned by working for it I wouldn't see how they could or why they should. Personally I wouldn't want to waste money on a game console, I'd rather build my own PC or upgrade the one that I have It's cheaper and PC gaming is just better than any console on the market. You can get pretty good games for dirt cheap with websites like Gamers Gate.com and Steam Powered.com and get up to 80% off on games like Metro Last Light etc.

But these days it's nice just to have money in your wallet, There are many other things you can do with the money you've earned besides sitting and playing games. I'd save that money for something better than video games.
