I know when I open my window a sound goes off in my house. But if I take the sensor off and pull it down, will anything happen?

if you take the sensors off it could trip a alarm your windows might be associated with a alarm system and then it will sound off agian once you take the sensors off so if you feel the need are they on the windows for protection so no one breaks in this might leave your house unprotected so you want to be careful
