If I put a scientific theory of mine on youtube for opinions and criticism, can it be stolen?

I have a theory about something. I really want to hear what people think about it because i dont really have any other ideas on how to get my theory out there. If i post it on youtube for people to see and comment is it possible that someone can take it from me, claim its theres, and get away with it even though i have video evidnce that its mine? Please help

Well if it's put up on Youtube under your name it's technically copyright under your name.....just make sure you let people know not to steal it.

Laymen ideas don't fall into the "scientific theory" cathegory. The real scientists use the "scientific method" to produce valuable results and then publish them on conferences and in peer-reviewed science journals.

If you publish something where the date and your authorship can be verified, you own an automatic copyright. But that doesn't mean much. You will make more money selling pamphlets explaining how to do it than you will selling patent licenses.
