Are they trying to get me to use it all so I will try to use more and get overage charges or get me to pay for another data card?

With all the bullshit sneaky updates that some software does without your authorization it has caused me to avoid mobile data devices most of the time. If a multi-gigabyte download took off downloading without me realizing I would just blast thru 5GB in minutes.

I had a few android smartphones, and it was pretty well organized that apps would not use very much data when a mobile connection was sensed, but now I have a laptop and have considered wifi hotspot devices, but some windows software just goes ahead and updates if it has a connection not bothering to prompt the user.

If I only get 5GB a month then why do they offer 4G 100mbps? The data would be used up in 7 minutes?
