If I know a guy likes me a lot, and he likes me too, why doesn't he ask me to be his girlfriend?

We work together, and we've both shared with each other how we feel. And we've hung out before and it went fantastic, and he acted around me as if he would a girlfriend. But when we ran into someone he knows, they asked if I was his girlfriend and he straight up immediately said no. How long does it usually take a guy to ask a girl to be his girlfriend or is it supposed to be assumed at some point?

Why do you want to be this guys girlfriend so badly? He's not willing to step up and claim you as his girlfriend then let it go and don't freak over it or force it. You want a man, not a kid

look my boyfriend too dosent asks me to be his girlfriend but actually we assume that the guy wants us to be his girlfriend .. so either you should ask him or leave him.... if the he comes back and says you sorry so assum efrom then and further you are his girlfriend

Trust me one this one iI am a guy he just dosen't know if you like him you have to tell him I've done this already trust me he's just shy just hang out with him but don't push it he'll get used to you it worked for me because I hang out with alot of girls

Trust me, as I am on a similar journey. Us men will not say that somebody is our girlfriend in front of somebody else, unless we have both agreed to a committed relationship. 

I say you give him a while, and you'll start to see just how good he can be.
