On his newspaper route, Tom collects $48 on Monday, $36 on Tuesday, and $18 on Wednesday. What is the most each person will pay for a subscription if each customer pays the same amount? (I dont want answers! i just want to kno what to do to figure and work it out!) Thanks in advance.

Well lets try putting the amount of $ into a trisection.
48/36 = 1.33
48 /18= 2.66
18/36 = 2
Use median to find the answer...
2+2.66+1.33 = 5.99 / 3 days = $ 1.99 (round to 2) / subscriber
If you give area of math your studying it will be easier for me to find the equation.
This is as close as I got to the answer.
It doesnt state the area of math its in it just says chapters 1-6 Review, heres maybe a little more detail : the answer is multiple choice A.$3, B.$4, C.$6, D.$12
I meant what unit are you on? Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, etc.
48/36 = 1.33
48 /18= 2.66
18/36 = 2
2+2.67+1.33 = $6
I would say C) 6$.
Oh..well it doesnt say, since its a packet of homework that has everything (two units) all mixed together. But thanks the answer IS reasonable :)
Isn't this about the Greatest Common Divisor? Answer should be: 6$
Or have I missed something?
Correct!
No more information... it doesnt say, thats what makes me not understand the question.
