If I don’t have a job by the end of the year and I don’t file taxes will I go to jail?

Depends on where you live, but in general the guiding principle is that those who are unable to pay or make mistakes are faced with financial penalties, whilst those who intentionally commit fraud may be imprisoned, if their intent can be proven.
They'll repossess your savings, your property, your future income, bleed you dry, but they won't take your freedom.
