I applied for food stamps and they want me to prove I can't work. Do I have to prove I can't in order to get SSD?

MOST DEFINITELY YES and they will deny you on your first try if you even fill in one dot too dark. Pay an attorney to file for you and mail it out, if they see that attorney did it for you there army of rejection  stampers will actually stop and look before they deny it
