If I ask someone to my formal will he say yes?

Hi stephcam03, it really depends on if he likes you or if he doesn't. I know that I am pretty shy for a 14 year old but, you need signs to know if he likes you or not. If he likes you 1: he will smile back. 2:he will laugh at your jokes. 3:he won't make fun of you unless it is in a funny way and he is just mucking around. I really hope this helped.
