If a supplier/ says 10+1 on item,normal price is £54 10+1 is £50. What does this mean?

Bit confused with the terminology as i am new to this. Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.

it means that if you buy 10 items bulk you get a discount on the purchase of nearly 9.3 % on the regular 1 item price
