If a man in his early 50's has a mild stroke does it mean hes close to passing away?

there's multiple reasons for a stroke. it could be because his diet is unhealthy. or maybe if he's taking any medications that he could've gotten a bad side effect. fifty isn't as old as you think. my grandmother is in her seventies and she's had a couple of small strokes, she's still alive.
