The two eyes field of vision overlaps by about 60 degrees , that means that the monkey can see 240 degrees or two-thirds of what is around him. Predators have their eyes pointing forward (to judge distance to prey) but limiting the field of view down to what is directly in front, but because predators have few animals feeding on them this isn't a problem. Prey animals usually have their eyes on the side of their heads so that they can see as much as possible because something is going to try and eat them for example rabbits have a field of vision of 300 degrees, because they taste good.
