you have to have the consent of your parent or guardian. If they were to find out they can always press charges against the guy. it is a long horriable process. The girl should talk to her aprents about this and see what kind of things they can do to prepare her. She needs not to enter into this lightly.

18 is the legal age. in some states you can give consent at 16 but people still get into trouble. i would wait until your girlfriend is 18 just to be smart about it. but you two can still date each other.
