if it is still in your name thats when you call dmv and fill out a place on the title that it was sold to someone else thats the way you protect your self from any accident or any conflict of interest i think i would go to the dmv and report the sale to them show the bill of sale to them this way your covering for your self not them better to be safe then sorry as they would say you can even take the piece thats on the title that shows it has been sold she be no further problems with it show them the bill of sale takes it out of your name so your not liable for it anymore
Hi! I had such experience with my old Toyota. But I was in Dubai at that time. I sold my car to my neighbor without fulfilling the paperwork requirements.
He was driving car which was on my name, so one day he stopped by policemen to check the legal papers. Then the contacted me as well and take the legal action as well.
So it's better to sell your product in a specific way. Especially, when you are selling your car.
Thanks!
