I had the light to walk a taxi made a turn and hit me the driver received a summins I went to the hospital... (back & knee contusion) They said I have to walk with crutches & go to therapy... I want to know can I sue for this? & if so what can be a estimated amount?

At the end of the day the burden of proof if on you (assuming you'd took it to court). You have to have irrefutable evidence of the taxi & driver in question & you have to show that you indeed were in the right to cross the road & the taxi driver was at fault.
That probably going to be a bit difficult without CCTV or eye witnesses - you could prove the driver was there at the time using documents from the taxi company... but they're unlikely to give them to you and you still have to prove the driver was in the wrong.
However it does sounds like you have grounds for a case & you should probably get your medical expenses covered (which in reality is all you really need).... perhaps you might get an out of court agreement. As I say, you certainly have grounds for a claim, but youd need to get a lawyer to asses the case & get a professional recommendation.
