Was a status posted slandering somebody directly. Wondering if just because the person deleted it on their wall, it must be on facebook somewhere? This person was never a "Friend" on my facebook list however, I can view their profile. Just seems as if the post has been removed.

If that person made the status available for 'only friends', there's just a limited amount of people can see it. You can't.
If you're really dedicated to find this status, you should look at his/her profile when you're friends with him/her on facebook.
If the Facebook status was removed by the person who posted it, you can't trace it back. People tell you "Everything is on the internet forever.", but it's not always true.
