For like, eh, a week or so. I don't want to check my Twitter, or Facebook, don't want to answer calls or texts... just want to take a week off fom everything and everybody. Just give myself time to think, and rediscover myself. Do you think this is healthy/normal? Or should I just keep bothering my friends and family by being a bore and always wanting to talk about my problems?

It depends on the REAL reason you want to check out.
I found that when i wanted to 'check out' i was either doing it because i was depressed, wanted attention (from my family, or friends, or boys) or because i wanted to really 'check out'
I dont think that MIA is the right thing to to. You really need to think about it and be honest with yourself. Get yourself a counselor or psychologist (like i do)
and then spill the beans on everything that's rattling around in your head. Even if you are embarrassed or disgusted or don't want to talk about it. They are a stranger and it helps a lot more than you'd expect!
