I have anxiety and I thought basketball would help but I'm to afraid to sign up I'm 12 and arnt in the greatest shape.I need a work out plan to get in basket ball shape by 2 months. I am a terrible shot and want to get better but I don't know how. Also I only,kind of know the games rules and I don't want to make a fool out of my self. I like playing basketball and would like to give it a sot but I need some help.

i think the best thing you could do is exercise a get in better shape but don't push yourself to hard or you'll blow a muscle. im glad kids your age are trying to go outside and be a kid and i know that your afraid but that's okay. that''s what practice is for ask your parents or your guardian to go and buy you a football and ask them to help you practice but don't let football get in the way of everything in your life when you get into football your coach might tell you it's your top priority but school really is you have to take your education first though remember that look up on the internet on how to play and good luck
My advice to learn the rules is to watch a college basketball game, do not watch the NBA because they are not strict on the rules. To get in shape I would run sprints, and each day you should try and push yourself to do more and run faster each day, if you really want to improve. And if you want to get your shot better, you should practice every single day. First try making lay-ups, and always use the backboard.
